Submitting a Proposal
What is a Special Issue?
A Special Issue is a curated collection of peer-reviewed articles which focuses on a specific, high-impact area of research within the aims and scope of the journal. Special Issues offer a wonderful opportunity to promote new or emerging research avenues, consolidate contemporary experimental data, and foster international academic collaboration.
Your Role as a Lead Guest Editor
If you wish to submit a proposal for a Special Issue track in the Journal of Computational and Cognitive Engineering (JCCE), you will be taking on the crucial academic role of Lead Guest Editor.
Key Requirements and Operational Mandates:
- Nomination rule: If there is more than one Guest Editor involved in the application, one single Lead Guest Editor must be explicitly nominated as the primary institutional point of contact.
- Expertise validation: Lead Guest Editors should possess highly recognized, verified technical expertise and a solid publication footprint in the specific scientific field covered by the proposed Special Issue theme.
- Core Functions: You will be unilaterally responsible for defining the clear scope of the special issue, recruiting a highly qualified team of supporting Guest Editors, identifying and contacting leading potential research contributors, and overseeing the double-blind peer review pipeline.
Submitting a Proposal
JCCE operates a transparent, peer-vetted application channel for prospective themes. Please fill out our official, standardized Proposal Form with comprehensive programmatic data and send it directly via email to the Journal Editorial Office.
All submitted blueprints will undergo an intensive assessment by the Editorial Office and the Editor-in-Chief. They will collectively render the final decision as to whether your proposed Special Issue track is suitable for integration into the journal's archival schedules. Revisions, title modifications, or scope tightening may be requested to optimize the proposal's scientific impact before approval.
